Reopening on the 8th of June
As you may have seen on the news yesterday, dental practices will be allowed to open on the 8th of June. Although it was announced at the Prime Ministers press conference last night, for the dental profession it has come out of the blue, as only that morning the Chief Dental Officer of England said that if would be a phased return and no date had been set.
We are planning a return in three stages.
1) Priority patients who have had problems during lockdown but have been able to wait for us to reopen. Their initial appointments may be temporary treatment but we will do our best to assess and improve their situations.
2) Routine examinations and hygienist treatments.
3) Elective/routine treatments (such as simple fillings and preparing teeth for crowns and bridges)
If you have had a problem during lockdown however small, and not spoken to the practice yet and would like to be on the priority list when we reopen, please contact the practice by phone or email patients@poppletondentalpractice.co.uk
We are continuing making preparations for the new normal at the practice. There will be a COVID medical history, a temperature check on arrival, increased appointment times to reduce the patient numbers in the practice and enhanced PPE in the surgery. Many countries have continued dentistry as usual, including Germany, and there have been no reported COVID transmission in the dental context. You are going to be safe.
Please keep checking this page for updates and we will be in touch with you soon.
PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE PRACTICE WITHOUT AN ARRANGED APPOINTMENT
We cannot wait to return to the work that we love and seeing our amazing patients again
We miss you. Keep well and safe.
